Product Grades & Specifications

Golden Seed Export offers three grades of sunflower oil to meet the needs of food manufacturers, refiners, distributors and retail bottlers. All grades are sourced from Tanzania's Singida and Dodoma regions — East Africa's highest-yielding sunflower belt.

Grade 1 — Refined, Bleached & Deodorised (RBD)

Our most popular export grade. RBD sunflower oil undergoes full refining, bleaching and deodorisation to produce a neutral-flavour, light-golden oil suited to direct consumption, food manufacturing and frying applications.

Grade 2 — Crude Sunflower Oil (CSO)

Degummed crude sunflower oil for buyers with in-country refining capacity. Supplied directly from primary processing with minimal treatment, retaining full nutritional precursors and natural fatty acid profile.

Origin & Sourcing

Tanzania's Central Plateau — the Singida, Dodoma and Tabora regions — produces some of East Africa's highest-quality sunflower crops. Rainfall patterns, red clay soils and smallholder growing practices result in seeds with high oil content (42–48%) and a naturally low free fatty acid profile. We aggregate from established cooperative networks, mill at accredited facilities and conduct pre-loading inspection against contracted specifications.

Shipping & Logistics

We ship FOB Dar es Salaam as standard. CIF to your nominated discharge port is available on request. Transit times to major ports are typically 14–18 days (Europe), 10–14 days (Middle East & India), 22–28 days (Americas). Documents provided: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate, SGS pre-shipment inspection report, Halal certificate on request.

Minimum Order Quantity

MOQ is one 20-foot container (approximately 22,000 L flexitank or 80 × 200 L drums). Smaller trial shipments are considered on a case-by-case basis for verified buyers. Multi-container and season-long programmes welcomed.
